Services

Hamilton Logging offers many services to you as a customer and we strive to make your timber harvest process as seamless as possible! The process begins with a free appraisal of your timber. Once your property has been inspected and appraised, Hamilton Logging will review a management plan with you based upon your properties timber species and characteristics. Unlike many other logging companies, Hamilton Logging does not harvest based upon timber shares, meaning you will be paid the agreed upon price for your timber, prior to any harvest!

Timber Appraisal

As a property owner, you have decided to have your timber appraised. Upon permission, Hamilton Logging will inspect your property using aerial maps and a physical assessment. We will detail the types of timber on your property, the timber condition, and also its value at no cost to you!  Hamilton Logging Inc believes in an honest approach to business! Its for this reason, we will pay you the full agreed upon price for your timber BEFORE we harvest any timber from your property!

Management Plan

Once inspected, Hamilton Logging will contact the property owner to discuss our appraisal and develop an optimal management plan. We will discuss the best type of harvest (generally a "selective harvest" meaning only certain species of timber, larger than an agreed upon diameter will be harvested), incorporating property characteristics/topography and incorporating Indiana Department of Forestry's Best Management Practices
